A Chicago area native, Dr. Dressander graduated from the University of Illinois in 1989. He had already chosen medicine as a career path, specifically Orthopaedic Surgery, as a result of his sports background. He earned his Medical Degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He went on to complete his orthopaedic surgical training at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. He joined Carrollton Orthopaedic Clinic in November, 2008.

Dr. Dressander works closely with his patients with an emphasis on conservative treatment options. Whether surgery is needed or not, he treats his patients with compassion and respect. He came to Carrollton because he wanted to practice general orthopaedics, treating patients young and old, using state-of the-art techniques.

Dr. Dressander specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, joint replacement of the hip and knee, and the treatment of fractures. After surgery, he stresses rehabilitation and education to ensure long-term successful outcomes for his patients.

Dr. Dressander is married with 3 children.
